5 Reasons Why Personalized Candy Bars Are Popular Wedding Favors

June 28, 2011 by Candy Wrapper Store

Of all the weddings you have attended, you cannot remember a single instance when you did not shed a tear or two when the bride walked the aisle. Now that it is your turn to do so, you are filled with mixed emotions-happiness, excitement, anticipation, anxiety, worry, fear, and so many more. You cannot be any happier that you have finally met the one whom you would want to spend the rest of your life with.

However, with so many things to take care of, you cannot help but feel anxious and overwhelmed. You are barely even through with the whole wedding planning and organization.

To begin with, you have not yet decided what kind of wedding favors to give away to your guests. Some friends advise you to have personalized candy bars as wedding favors but you are not that convinced. To help you decide, here are five reasons why many couples prefer this kind of wedding favor.

Reason # 1 – Candy bar wrappers can be customized

Like most brides, you would want your wedding event to be unique and extraordinary. Since candy bar wrappers can be personalized according to your personal tastes and preferences, you can be sure that these would help turn your wedding into a one-of-a-kind occasion.

Reason # 2 – Everyone loves chocolates

Do you know anyone who does not love chocolates? Probably not. It is one of those few things that most people like. There is no need worry about some people not enjoying this type of wedding favor.

Reason # 3 – These are widely available online

The online market is bustling with all sorts of products and services. It is also filled with many suppliers selling candy bar wrappers that come in different designs and styles. Just choose a reliable online merchant that has high quality wrappers printed professionally with high-grade ink.

Reason # 4 – Wrapping chocolates is a breeze

You can do it while watching television, while listening to music, while chatting online, or while doing something that would not require the use of your two hands. Not to mention, you can also ask your bridesmaids to help you do this. Because the work is so easy, they surely would not mind giving you a hand.

Reason # 5 – These are inexpensive but not cheap looking

This is particularly helpful if you are planning to have a budget wedding.  This type of wedding favor would enable you to enjoy extra savings. But the best thing about this is that even though you are saving money on this, you can still end up with beautiful and classy looking favors as long as you pick a sophisticated design and high quality candy wrapper.

Personalized candy wrappers are becoming more and more popular as a wedding favor. Not only would guests be able to take pleasure in chocolate indulgence, they would also be able to keep the wrapper as a wonderful souvenir to your memorable wedding event. You can even add a personal note to each wrapper to make the wedding favor even more special and unforgettable. Be sure to pick a design and text that you and your spouse would both love.

Graduation Party Planning Checklist

June 2, 2011 by Candy Wrapper Store

First thing first – start with the Graduation Announcement and then the Graduation Party Invitation: A graduation announcement ‘announces’ where and when the person will be graduating, with a presumed invitation to the graduation ceremony. A graduation party invitation is just that – an invitation to a party. The graduation announcement precedes the graduation party invitation in terms of when they are sent. I recommend sending out the announcement at least 6 weeks before the formal graduation ceremonies and the graduation party invitation at least 3 weeks before the party.

Email announcement and party invitations are acceptable, easy to do, and can be free. But be careful: It is perfectly acceptable to send your graduation announcements and invitations via email. However, if you do opt for this route, and you wish to include both friends and their parents, make sure that you send the email to the parents and the graduate’s friend. Although the graduate will most likely have his or her friends’ email addresses readily available – you can’t count on the friend to convey the party invitation to their parents. For this reason, and because I feel a formal invitation is a bit nicer, I would recommend going with a written invitation that is sent in the mail.

Decide what you will serve: One of the questions I often hear people ask when they are discussing the graduation parties they’ve been invited to is “do you think they are serving a meal or should I eat before I arrive”. Take the mystery out of it and state on your invitation if lunch or dinner will be served. Otherwise your guests will assume that appetizer-type foods will be served. You can even be more specific by listing the food details: “Big Barbecue Planned” “Come for Coffee and Cake” or “Endless Buffet – Come Hungry.”
Considering that many families are invited to multiple graduation parties on the same day during the graduation season your guests may not eat as much as you would expect. So I always advise having lots of storage containers and bags on hand in case you do find yourself with plenty of leftovers. And if you have too much for just your family – I’m confident that your friends and family will be happy to take some home.

Will there be decorations? This largely depends on whether the graduation party will be held outside or in? If it is inside – then it is a bit easier to hang decorations (party supply stores have many to choose from). Whether inside or outside I recommend you put centerpieces on the table. The simplest, but often the nicest, is simply a vase of fresh flowers in the school colors (or something close to it). If you can’t get fresh flowers in the needed colors try a craft store for fabric flowers. Usually the color selection is quite large. Confetti on the table is also a fun touch. Balloons in the school colors are terrific too – ask your party supply store to arrange them in balloon bouquets for even a more festive look. And make sure you let your guests know that they have arrived at the correct location by putting balloons (mylar or latex) and/or a banner at the front door.

Would your graduate like a theme other than his or her school colors, logo, or mascot? I’ve attended beach graduation parties, Hollywood (“You’re a star”) graduation parties, and sports related graduation parties. Use your imagination (and the internet) for decoration ideas.

Give the graduation ‘star treatment’: This day is all about your son or daughter so make sure that they are the “guest of honor”. Many families feature a slide or video show (either on a computer or on a screen) featuring their child through the ages to the delight of their guests. Also – set up table that features the honors and interests of your child – whether it is sport or academic achievements or hobbies. A poster board featuring pictures of him or her with family and friends is also a great touch.

Thank your guests for coming by giving graduation party favors: It is always nice to send your guests home with a small thank you gift. It can be as simple as a wrapped, personalized sweet, pen, keychain, or any other practical or edible item with a cap and gown theme.

Great Prom Ideas For 2011

May 3, 2011 by Candy Wrapper Store

The prom is a rite of passage for every high school student. Attendees cannot wait to show off their elegant formal wear and the school is always abuzz with which hot new couples will be attending. One of the most fun ways to get involved with a prom is to help determine the theme. The class throwing the event puts a lot of time and effort into creating an unrivaled theme.

Everyone feels like a superstar when attending the prom, making a Hollywood theme very appropriate. Attendees walk through ground-level spotlights on the red carpet, while observers comment on their outfits and snap photos. The evening can even follow the agenda of a Hollywood awards show, featuring presentations for categories like best dressed and most passionate kiss. Prizes can be presented onstage to winners who can then make acceptance speeches.

High schoolers are too young to legally gamble but that does not prevent them from selecting a casino theme. This turns the prom into an event, allowing everyone to play some table games or slots. Event companies rent the tables and machines needed to make this night a huge success. Between the gaming, eating, and dancing, everyone will have so much fun that they will want to repeat this theme.

An air of intrigue is fun, so consider a masquerade ball theme. Girls can still dress up in their favorite prom gowns but they and the guys will need to add decorative masks to their attire. Masks range from the basic to the ornate and come in hundreds of color and style combinations. Selecting the mask becomes as much fun as choosing the dress or tuxedo. Attendees will spend all night trying to figure out others’ identities and a guessing contest makes things even more fun.

Designing a theme around a city or a place such as the ocean or a garden is another popular option. When a city is the selected theme, everyone can dress in appropriate attire. Girls can wear flowered dresses for a garden themed prom or blue or green to correspond with an ocean theme. Elaborate decorations made by the planning committee will transform the room into another land.

Other great theme ideas include songs, movies, books, and plays. Give some careful thought to the prom theme because it is something everyone will always remember. When the perfect theme is found, be creative with the decorating, food choices, and favors. Go as elaborate as the budget commits, as this should cause tickets to sell out well in advance.

While there are plenty of themes from which to choose, a masquerade prom theme offers something few other themes can. When attending a masquerade prom, students get to have a secret identity for the night, it will truly be a night to remember. Choosing Your Own Wedding Favor

April 27, 2011 by Candy Wrapper Store

Your wedding day is among the greatest days ever. It is the day the bride and groom bond as one. Unfortunately there is a lot of pressure on this day. There are so a lot of details, plans and pieces that come together to create it a fantastic day. The wedding favor is one vital part of the day, as this is the one factor that your guests take home with them. Wedding organizers and online websites have come up with so many new favors it’s tough to maintain up with them. The very best strategy to uncover the top favor is to go online and perform a search. There are several web sites catering to this marketplace and they all have interesting alternatives.

A wedding couple is now searching for a creative, customized wedding favor which will fit their identity. Chocolate and edible items had been at one well-liked wedding favors. Some other well-known items had been mix CDs, and gifts in connection with the location of the wedding itself. Wine glasses that guests could take house had been popular, as they could use them there. However, these most likely did not match the glasses they already had at residence. Other items which are related to the locale, will most likely be regarded as cute at the time, but then disposed when the guest returns home. Think of every item you obtain for yourself whilst on holiday vacation!

These items do have their great factors, even so cost is often an issue. A wedding favor that is too pricey for the return is not a good favor, specifically if the guests are not going to maintain or use them for a long time. When budgeting for a wedding, the favor is really a modest part, nonetheless whenever you multiply that by the number of guests attending, the total price can turn into fairly significant.

Wrapping of a wedding favor can be part of the customization. You can use preprinted bins or bags with the bride and grooms name, wedding date along with a saying that means a good deal to the couple. You then insert your wedding favor inside the personalized packaging.

Personalised koozies make a great wedding favor for numerous reasons. Can koozies – the insulated sleeves utilised to maintain drinks cool are beneficial and enjoyable. They could be personalised with the bride and groom’s name, date along with a graphic that reflects their personality. There are many various styles of koozies offered. Foam, collapsible and diverse sizes. There are several colors of can koozies available and combined with the number of ink colors accessible, the choices are almost limitless. These wedding favors also provide the benefit that they can be employed appropriate at the reception, and will probably be kept for a lengthy time frame.

Wedding favors have grown to be much more competitive. Businesses are offering savings for larger items, and offering faster shipping possibilities. They are offering far more selection on the colours and styles of the products they supply too.

It has turn into the expectation of the guest that there’s a wedding favor. We may not agree with that logic, but a wedding with out a favor is now fairly unusual.

Walter has been authoring articles online for many years. When it comes to great koozies, and wedding favors he has found a champion.

Throw an Earth Day party

March 31, 2011 by Candy Wrapper Store

Earth Day is a holiday that is forgotten about all-too-often. With new trends towards energy efficiency and eco-friendliness, however, now's the time to draw attention to mother Earth and her needs. Throw an Earth Day party and you just might open some eyes!

Consider sending electronic invitations to this shindig. You will cut back on paper costs and maybe even save a tree or two. If you enjoy giving yourself little projects you can turn old Christmas and birthday cards into something totally new.

Request that your guests bring one recyclable item as their cost of admission. Set up a small bin at the party's entrance where they can throw their empty jugs or cans. Decorating is simple enough if you stick to natural colors like blue and green. Make sure to recycle your paper products when the party's over!

You can come up with some really fun party favor ideas for an Earth Day party, too. You can find small globe keychains at most party supply stores. If you're feeling industrious you can give away small plants and seedlings placed in used coffee jars and yogurt cups.
