We're willing to bet that Shania Twain and her fiancé, Frédéric Thiébaud, sent out their wedding invitations faster than most couples. According to People.com, the lovebirds got hitched over New Year's Eve weekend, just a month after proclaiming to the world that they were aisle-bound!
Twain's representative took the time to confirm the happy news.
"They were married at sunset in Rincon, Puerto Rico, in front of 40 of their closest family and friends," she told the news outlet.
Those who aren't aware of how Shania and Frédéric met may want to listen up, as their story is a doozy. As it turns out, the gorgeous vocalist's ex-husband, Robert John "Mutt" Lange, had an affair with Thiébaud's wife in 2008. Their philandering led to the breakup of both marriages, and the wronged spouses soon found comfort in one another's arms.
While this is certainly exciting, many are wondering why the duo chose to make their love official so quickly. Perhaps those close to the couple can expect to receive birth announcements sometime soon?
