What to do when your venue falls through

Many couples may worry about things going wrong as they plan their wedding, but for one pair, their nightmare became a reality. According to the Associate Press, the venue that Jennifer Cassista and Tom Bryan had booked closed down less than three months before they were able to say "I do."

Cassista and Bryan originally settled on a resort lodge near their home in Ontario, Canada, in March 2009. While the venue was under renovation, coordinators promised the space would be ready for their May 2010 wedding. Unfortunately, a few months before their ceremony was to take place, Bryan received a call that the venue had gone bankrupt, the news source reports.

Fortunately, though most locales were already booked, the couple kept cool and was able to find a new location. They spent the next few weeks redoing wedding invitations and contacting vendors, and their wedding went off without a hitch.

"You just need to relax and roll with the punches. Things will happen in every bride's planning," Cassista told the news source. "Be levelheaded and try to figure it out."

While most venues won't fall through, analysts suggest having a back-up plan to prepare for any occasion. Having a second location on the back burner may save you from a last-minute meltdown.

Danny Bonaduce surprised by his own wedding

While celebrity weddings are often kept a secret from the public, it seems that one recent ceremony was even a surprise to the groom! According to People magazine, Danny Bonaduce's girlfriend Amy Railsback, his current manager, planned a beautiful private wedding for the pair, which took place November 22.

Bonaduce, who rose to fame as Danny Partridge on the '70s television program The Partridge Family and then re-entered the public eye in the 2000s as a television host and reality TV star, found out about the wedding after answering a phone call one afternoon.

"The wedding planner from the hotel called to speak with Amy and told me I was getting married!" he told the news source. "I said, 'Honey you got something to tell me?' Then I thought about it, and said, 'This is a great idea!'"

While he may not have had a hand in picking out the wedding invitations or favors, it seems that the "surprise ceremony" was just what the 51-year-old actor wanted. According to the news source, for the past three years he has told Amy he wanted to get married as long as she took care of the planning.

This is Bonaduce's third marriage – he was previously married to real estate agent Setsuko Hattori from 1985 to 1988 and Gretchen Hillmer from 1990 to 2007.

Katy Perry has had her fill of wedding invitations and favors from her recent wedding with beau, Russell Brand, but that doesn't mean she isn't looking forward to seeing Prince William and Kate Middleton tie the knot.

The pop star has recently used her husband's English ancestry as an excuse to brush up on English history and to gain perspective on the rare occasion of a royal wedding.

"I think it's just one of those moments you don't want to miss…One of my favorite subjects has always been history, and Russell has been very helpful in filling me in with the history of the English," said Perry.

Brides-to-be who are also interested in the monarchy can consider a royal wedding theme for their rehearsal dinners. They can kick it off with invitations that feature royal stylings and perhaps even pictures of the royal couple themselves.

Of course, those who prefer a less tongue-in-cheek approach can opt for classic elegance, as Middleton and her crew of wedding planners are sure to do on the big day. 

Pink opens up about baby names

While Pink may not be due for another six months, it appears as though the singer and her husband Carey Hart are ready to print up the birth announcements if they have a son. Pink recently told Access Hollywood that they have already settled on a boy's name – Jameson.

"My dad's name is James, and my brother's name is Jason," Pink told the entertainment program. "[Carey and I] are both Irish, Carey's middle name is Jason, [and] Jameson – we like whiskey. That's a no brainer."

However, it appears that the couple has yet to agree on a name for a girl, even though the doctor believes the couple is expecting a daughter.

"We're all over the place. I'm all about meaning, and Carey feels like he had a girl's hair cut and a girl's name, and he doesn't want kids to have a weird name. I have to get him on the boat for originality, so I'm working on him," Pink explained.

Regardless of the baby's gender, we bet the parents will be thrilled to meet (and name!) their new child. Pink and Carey have been together since 2001, and married in 2006.
