Guy Ritchie expecting third child

March 7, 2011 by Candy Wrapper Store

Guy Ritchie and his girlfriend Jacqui Ainsley will be sending our birth announcements soon, according to the Daily Telegraph. The 42-year-old director already has two children with his ex-wife Madonna. Ainsley is due to have the baby in September. The baby will be Ritchie's second biological child, in addition to his ten-year-old son, Rocco. He and Madonna also adopted a son, six-year-old David, from Malawi.

The Snatch director has been dating the leggy model for about a year. The expecting mother was ecstatic when she heard the news.

"They have been keen to start a family," a friend told the news source. "Jacqui was crying with joy when she found out. Guy is desperate for her to take it easy. He won't let her do anything more strenuous than argue over baby names. Wedding favors may soon be in the mix, too. The couple's friend continued to say that the two plan on tying the knot in the near future.

According to the Daily Mail, Ainsley will be selling her flat in Southend, Essex and moving into Ritchie's mansion when renovations are complete. Squatters had occupied the home while its owner was out of town and he has just recently been granted entry.

Break The Ice With Social Party Games

March 4, 2011 by Candy Wrapper Store

If you're throwing a dinner party where a lot of your guests are meeting for the first time, it can be difficult to get the entire group talking. Of course, you want everyone to feel comfortable with each other in order to avoid a quiet, awkward meal, so have your guests play a couple of these games before dinner starts to get all party attendees familiar with each other.

The classic Lie Detector game is a great way to get things going. The rules are simple: your guests take turns coming up with three statements about themselves, two of which are true and one of which is false. The rest of you vote on which one you think is a lie. This is a great way to get everyone to provide some quick and interesting information about themselves!

For something a bit more competitive, the "No Game" is an exciting way to zap some conversation into a party. Give each of your guests some kind of trinket, like a lei or a fake mustache. If they get someone else to say the word "no," that person has to give up their trinket. If you give away personalized gifts with names on them, it adds another layer as everyone can easily see who outsmarted who. As the game goes on, the things the losers will say to get the winners to utter "no" get pretty wacky!

Accentuate an occasion with proper music

March 3, 2011 by Candy Wrapper Store

One important aspect of throwing a party that often falls by the wayside is the music you play. It may not seem obvious, but the tunes you pump into a room will subtly dictate its atmosphere and the moods of the people inside. But imagine a party with no music at all! Good music is like an invisible party favor that everyone can enjoy.

You can come up with a quick playlist on your iPod, but when in doubt Pandora.com is your best friend. Simply go to the website and type in an artist and it will automatically start playing similar music. If you're throwing a dinner party, try creating a Pink Martini station for cocktails before the meal. You'll instantly have an endless supply of quiet lounge music that will keep things light. When the meal is over, switch to Miles Davis while you and your guests rest your full bellies. If you're lucky, your station will deliver an unexpected personalized gift when your guest hears his or her favorite song start playing.

One quick warning: keep your laptop away from your guests. After a drink or two, people will likely have a hard time not logging on and trying to DJ the party themselves!

Creative and thoughtful thank you gifts

March 2, 2011 by Candy Wrapper Store

In today's fast-paced society, one tradition that has sadly fallen by the wayside is the giving of thank you gifts. Whether it's a neighbor shoveling your driveway, a teacher writing you a recommendation or just simple employee appreciation, make them feel extra-special by sending along a little token of your thanks. Here are a few ideas for some unique and affordable thank you gifts that will help you properly express your gratitude.

There are, of course, plenty of gift baskets you can buy that will do the trick, but a personal touch will show that you've really put thought into your gift (and save you money!) Personalized candy wrappers with "thank you" written on them are an effective and cute way to make your present a memorable one. Throw a few of these into a box of homemade cookies and you've got yourself a package anyone would be happy to receive.

Of course, don't forget to include a note! A simple "thank you for your help" will go a long way towards making your recipient feel appreciated.
